Personal Training (£35 per hour)

I am a fully qualified and insured Level 3 Personal Trainer. No need for gym membership. I have all you need in my small, private gym. So whether you’re a seasoned gym goer wanting some additional motivation or someone new to lifting weights who wants to do it in a private, non-judgemental setting, I can help. All sessions are 1-2-1 and tailored to your needs. I can also travel to clients who have space to train at home.

Any exercise is better than nothing and you can do this on your own or with friends … but, as with nutrition, it’s so much better and easier with professional support.

Regular exercise is important for heath. It’s good for your heart, can help lower cholesterol and it reduces the risk of developing type 2 diabetes. The impact on our bodies of exercising improves bone density, preventing osteoporosis. It’s also great for our mental health. It can improve our mood and decrease feelings of depression and anxiety.

In terms of weight loss, the calories burned whilst exercising will partly contribute to the number of calories we burn. Strength training increases our metabolic rate (the amount of calories our bodies use, even at rest). Exercise can also regulate hunger, reducing the level of ghrelin, the hunger hormone. You’ll still need to pay attention to your nutrition, but it all helps!
